MAIN OUTCOMES AND RESULTS

Dual training map

A dual training Map is a tool able to represent situation about tourism paths in VET. This representation will also be usable even through access to a searchable wiki open database interlinked with a geographic information system. This analysis/tool could be the basis to create a network dedicated to international cooperation and knowledge sharing by VET tourism training centres.

The Dual Training Map is connected to  a “Skills Catalogue in Tourism and Restaurant Sector” that aims to build a hierarchical logical structure, from the professional domain (where the skills are applied) to the training domain (where the skills are acquired). Thus, the tourism sector globally will be scanned and found all the potential jobs domains generally needed in tourism and restaurant operations, disregarding the specific profession that practices them. From the job descriptions profiles found, it will be described in detail the skills needed to perform such jobs. This system can also be used to locate the subjects from the different training centres or programs that can provide such skills or learning outcomes.

Digital didactic tooklit

Toolkit is a flexible digital tool, able to represent contents through augmented and virtual reality technologies. This first version of the toolkit is functional to be tested in the classroom (piloting) but its user centric aspects have to be completed and fully defined only in the context of piloting.

Toolkit educational content are defined according to the detected needs among tourism entrepreneurs specialists.

The Toolkit is further refined based on the feedback from the piloting. The results of piloting are explained in the “Report on the Toolkit piloting process”, who will give specifications on the aspects that can be improved in toolkit, in particular to enhance its usability from a user centered point of view.

All the improvements deemed necessary following the piloting are developed as indicated in the “Report on the Toolkit piloting process”, to mainly improve the usability and the degree of experienceability offered.

Guidelines of the digital teaching methodology

Guidelines of the digital teaching methodology (Education 4.0) are created to be used by trained teachers as well as by any other interested teachers/trainers for implementation of this innovative education approach.

They contain a detailed description of minimum necessary hardware equipment, software installation, administration, as well as detailed description of practical utilisation of hardware and software, by teachers and students. All data will be accompanied with screen-shots (print screen pictures) in realistic situations.

Guidelines aim to provide best user experience in educational content consumption, with an emphasis on VR and AR environments. They will support the training activity for VET trainers before classroom piloting.

Guidelines will ensure transferability of digital education materials to any interested VET or secondary school and teacher who would like to implement this education tool in their education process.

MOU

The Memorandum of Understanding is signed between partners and by other entities external to the project to formalize the collaboration and communication between VET centres in the field of tourism.

It aims to formalize the official recognition of ECVET points to students who pass the VET course.

All Consortium partners will converge towards the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding to improve their exchange of information, communication and collaboration regarding the vocational education and training activities related to tourism vocation and educational training. Partners will confirm their interest in learning contents and further development of skills, knowledge and competence related to tourism and restaurant sectors, innovative methodologies and new technologies used.

This Memorandum is essential to strengthen the link between innovation and tourism and to facilitate permeability between vocational training and companies in the sector.
